The celebration of World Homoeopathic Day 2024 at Sri Veerabhadreshwar Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital was marked with enthusiasm and fervor. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing enlightenment and knowledge.
Mr. Sansakar Kadam from the First Year BHMS started the event with a melodious welcome song, setting the tone for the occasion. The role of anchor was gracefully handled by Ms. Asifa Mobbin, a First Year student.
Students from all three years of BHMS presented insightful speeches on the significance of Homoeopathy in modern times. Dr. S. Paga, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Homoeopathic Materia Medica, elucidated the importance of Homoeopathy in addressing contemporary health challenges.
Dr. Deepti Anand, Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, shed light on the evolution and growth of the Homoeopathic system, emphasizing its status as the second-largest system of medicine practiced worldwide.
Principal Dr. Indrajeet P. Shah delivered an inspiring address, urging both faculty and students to actively engage in community outreach to promote awareness about Homoeopathy. He emphasized the role of graduates in advancing the field and contributing to societal well-being.
Furthermore, Dr. Indrajeet Shah stressed the responsibility of every Homoeopathic practitioner to advocate for the discipline. As a token of appreciation, Principal Dr. Indrajeet P. Shah distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions held as part of the World Homoeopathy Day celebrations. These competitions included Essay Writing, Poster Presentation and Rangoli competitions.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Naziya, Associate Professor and Head of the Anatomy Department, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers for their contributions to the successful commemoration of World Homoeopathic Day 2024.
