Report on “ANEMIA – Awareness, Test, and Treat Camp”

A free “ANEMIA – Awareness, Test, and Treat Camp” was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Practice of Medicine at Government Junior College & Higher Primary School in Humnabad, Bidar (Dist), Karnataka. The camp aimed to raise awareness about anemia, provide testing services, and offer treatment options.
Inauguration: The camp was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Indrajeet P. Shah of Sri Veerabhadreshwar Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, along with Mr. Devindrappa, Principal of Government Junior College & Higher Primary School, Humnabad, Bidar (Dist), Karnataka.
Event Details:
Time: The camp commenced at 10:00 am at the health camp site in Government Junior College & Higher Primary Government School, Humnabad, Bidar (Dist), Karnataka.
Hemoglobin Screening: The students of Government Junior College & Higher Primary School were screened for hemoglobin levels.
Diagnosis and Treatment: Following the screening, patients diagnosed with anemia were prescribed Homoeopathic Medicine by a physician. The prescribed medicines were provided free of cost by Sri Veerabhadreshwar Homoeopathic Medical College under the supervision of healthcare team members.
Counseling: Patients received counseling regarding the usage of prescribed drugs and dietary intake to improve hemoglobin levels.
Health Awareness Talk: Students from the III BHMS program actively participated and conducted a talk on anemia, its symptoms, and prevention. Ms. Shruti Mhetre, Ms. Joyti, Mr. Salman Patel, and Ms. Fariha, all from III BHMS, delivered informative presentations.
Participant Attendance: This health awareness program saw the active participation of more than a hundred students.
Patient Benefits: A total of 40 patients suspected of having anemia were investigated at the Government Junior College & Higher Primary Government School, Humnabad, Bidar (Dist), Karnataka. They benefited from the free medical camp, including free medicines.
